Health and Safety Coordinator

We are seeking an organized and proactive Assistant Health and Safety Specialist to support our health, safety, and wellbeing team across one or more of our construction projects.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in health and safety, working closely with our experienced team to ensure the safe delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the implementation of health, safety, and wellbeing policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assisting in audits and inspections in line with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 requirements.
- Helping coordinate health, safety, and wellbeing inspection and audit schedules.
- Carrying out routine health, safety, and wellbeing inspections and assisting in documentation and reporting.
- Assisting with analyzing data from reports, audits, and KPIs to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Supporting the creation of mitigation and corrective action plans with the health, safety, and wellbeing team.
- Building effective working relationships with internal teams and site personnel.
- Collaborating on the development of new health, safety, and wellbeing standards aligned to industry best practices.
- Some experience in a health and safety support role or strong interest in construction safety.
- Basic understanding of health and safety legislation, inspections, and risk assessment processes.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation accurately.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive and solution-focused approach.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
- A recognized health and safety qualification (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely Level 2 or equivalent).
- Working towards or holding a Level 3 safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent).
- Previous exposure to health, safety, and wellbeing audits or ISO certification support.
- Confidence using digital tools and reporting systems.
