Rail Project Director

We are seeking a highly experienced leader to join our Transportation team in Ireland. This senior role will involve managing major projects and programmes, working closely with industry-leading clients and stakeholders.

  • Leading multi-disciplinary transportation projects as Project Director.
  • Delivering complex railway infrastructure projects as Project Manager.
  • Owning contract/commercial management responsibilities.
  • Liaising with Engineering Directors/Managers to successfully manage design processes.
  • Line managing and mentoring junior staff including Senior Project Managers.
  • Developing tender proposals, leading bids and winning new commissions.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Chartered with Engineers Ireland or equivalent professional institution.
  • Experienced in delivering multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects in Ireland/UK.
  • Skilled in contract management and commercial negotiation.
  • Confident in leadership and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.

  • Project Delivery: Deliver high-quality rail projects on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of project managers, engineers, and other professionals to deliver complex rail projects.
  • Commercial Management: Manage commercial risks and opportunities across multiple rail projects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other key partners.
