This position involves providing essential care, protection, and guidance for vulnerable young people. As a Residential Care Specialist, you will work with experienced professionals to develop tailored support plans that foster growth and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for and support young individuals, guiding them through challenges
  • Address trauma, manage challenging behaviours, and foster resilience
  • Promote physical, emotional, and social well-being across all areas of life
  • Build strong communication bridges with families and agencies
  • Keep accurate, detailed records to ensure top-quality care
  • Involve youth in decision-making that impacts their lives
  • Participate in team and agency meetings to stay aligned and informed
  • Adhere to policies and procedures, ensuring top standards are met

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Care or a related field
  • Background in social care, child protection, and working with adolescents
  • Effective communicator, empathetic, and resilient
  • Ready for a 24/7 shift roster, including nights and 12-hour shifts
  • Familiarity with Therapeutic Crisis Intervention is a plus
