About the Role

This position involves supporting our continued growth by designing, specifying, programming, simulating, and testing automation and control systems. Key responsibilities include developing IO lists, hardware specifications, and PLC HMI programs, setting up modem links, radio links, and web-based remote SCADA access, and commissioning PLC systems with electrical engineers.

The successful candidate will also investigate and provide technical advice and support on automation-related issues, operate according to SOPs, partner with different disciplines to deliver automation projects, generate documentation, and manage the specification, development, installation, and validation of automation projects within corporate guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need working knowledge of PLCs and HMIs, including Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Schneider, and Unitronics. Field bus/communication protocols such as Can Bus, Device Net, Control Net, Profibus, CC-link, Modbus, Modbus TCP, Ethernet IP, and Profi Net are also essential. Additionally, experience with SCADA packages like Wonderware Intouch, Indusoft, Citect, Broadwin, Iconics, and OPC Servers, M2M platforms, Structured Query Language (SQL), Web Browser, VB Script, SMS Functionality, BEng in Engineering or equivalent, and minimum 3-5 years' experience in industry are required.
