Job Role: Social Care Worker

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultation and support to young people, ensuring their needs are met and addressed.
  • Work as a keyworker for young people, promoting their independence and self-esteem.
  • Ensure that young people have access to their records and information, and facilitate their right to complain if necessary.
  • Participate in the transition and admission process for new young people, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Placement Plans, ensuring that young people receive the agreed quality and quantity services.
Care and Support:
  • Provide safe, caring environments within a warm and homely atmosphere for young people.
  • Ensure the presentation of the centre is maintained at all times, adhering to organisational hospitality standards.
  • Support young people in accessing medical appointments and medication, ensuring accurate recording of care records.
  • Facilitate educational activities and opportunities for young people, ensuring they meet educational standards.
Leadership and Governance:
  • Adhere to child protection policies and procedures, promptly notifying concerns to senior staff.
  • Participate in regular supervision, reviewing action plans following internal and external monitoring reports.
  • Facilitate staff induction processes, introducing new employees to recording systems and provision of shadowing practice.
