Strategic Cyber Security Trainer

Location: Hybrid Dublin

Job Type: Full-Time

An experienced Cyber Security Trainer is required to set training standards for all things Cyber Security across an established business.

This role involves designing, delivering, and continuously improving a best-in-class cybersecurity training programme. This position is key to ensuring all employees understand their role in protecting critical systems and data while fostering strong business engagement.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business to build trust, promote security-first thinking, and deliver tailored awareness initiatives.

This is a new position in the team where you will champion Cyber Security L&D across the business.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a Cyber Security Training & Awareness Framework aligned with industry standards and regulations.
  • Design and deliver engaging training content: e-learning modules, workshops, phishing simulations, and live sessions.
  • Identify high-risk user groups (e.g., IT Admins, Board Members) and deliver customised training for their needs.
  • Build strong relationships across the business to integrate security into processes and promote collaboration.
  • Evaluate programme effectiveness using metrics, surveys, and simulated attacks, reporting progress to senior management.
  • Leverage modern tools and LMS platforms to deliver engaging and scalable security awareness programmes.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by creating knowledge resources such as FAQs, newsletters, and trend reports.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in cyber security training, awareness, or similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of security principles, regulatory standards, and awareness frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with LMS platforms and online training tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Relevant qualifications (Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Business Information Systems) and certifications (CISM, CISSP, CISA) are a plus.
