Job Title

A Senior Business Analyst is required to drive the implementation and monitoring of firm's submission data and exceptions/rejections.

  • This includes developing appropriate controls to drive the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of regulatory reporting obligations under MiFIR/D.
  • The role involves verifying ongoing compliance with the regulatory requirement.
  • Key tasks include the monitoring of numerous regulatory processes within the Reporting team and the successful identification and remediation of failed controls.
Responsibilities

The individual will be responsible for working collaboratively with Regulatory Operations, Technology, and key business stakeholders to maintain a strong working relationship and a best-in-class approach to proactive exception management.

They will partner with Reg Ops Change Management and QA to ensure adequate issue documentation, testing and resolution implementation.

Extensive liaison with internal customers, notably Business Units, Information Technology, Other Reg Ops areas and Compliance Management, is also required.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Experience of compiling large volumes of data and analysing results.
  • Experience of exception-based controls and processing.
  • Experience of working within a control environment.
  • Regulatory reporting/Risk and Control experience (preferable).
  • An understanding of the impact of external factors (e.g. regulatory changes) on departmental strategy.
Skill Set

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent Microsoft skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Proactive skills, able to work on initiative and organize themselves well.
  • Effective communication skills, facilitating interaction with clients, own team and operations management.
  • An analytical and numerate proven ability to research and identify large and complex issues in data sets using SQL and Excel functions.
  • JIRA experience is also advantageous.
