Major Emergency Planning Director

The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 for Major Emergency Planning will play a pivotal role in ensuring preparedness and effective response to major incidents, mass casualty events, and internal incidents.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Communication: Provide strong clinical leadership to all staff involved in an emergency situation, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and establish effective working relationships with departments and staff within the hospital.
- Professional Development: Assess and identify training needs for all staff, set objectives for learning, and contribute to the development of training programmes.
- Standards and Quality: Safeguard patient and staff welfare by establishing management standards, monitoring outcomes post-emergency events, and maintaining records of audits and improvement plans.
- Resource Management: Participate in strategic planning, manage departmental and non-departmental resources, and oversee resource allocation and management to ensure readiness for emergencies.
This role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, emergency services, and external agencies to ensure seamless integration of clinical operational and logistical responses during emergency situations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the hospital's Major Emergency Plan and Internal Incident Plan, aligning with national guidelines and statutory requirements.
