MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION MANAGER ROLE OVERVIEW

This role offers a unique opportunity to join a reputable specialist in cleanroom construction, HVAC services, heat recovery, and carbon emission reduction projects. Our clients are diverse, serving various industry sectors including Bio Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Electronics, Food & Dairy, and Data Centre/Light Industrial.

The successful candidate will oversee daily mechanical construction activities on the project. This includes planning, developing, and organizing the mechanical construction process to create an effective plan, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints. They will execute the scope of work related to construction/fabrication and pre-commissioning in line with the approved project schedule.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in a relevant trade or engineering discipline and have over 5 years of industry experience. Previous work with a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Contractor in Ireland or the UK, ideally on Industrial or Pharmaceutical projects, is preferred. Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including HVAC and building services design, is essential. Experience of piping systems installation is highly desirable.

  • Monitor and report project details, including progress, risks, and opportunities, to the Project Manager promptly.
  • Ensure all changes to specifications, work scope, and drawings are properly documented.
  • Adhere to Safety, EHS, and Quality Standards in compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Manage site design and mechanical construction processes.
  • Closeout mechanical snags in a timely manner for effective project handover.
  • Plan and allocate resources, including labour, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Lead and motivate the team to meet all project requirements and deadlines.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders.
