Clinical Nurse Manager III Role

The Clinical Nurse Manager III is a leadership position that plays a pivotal role in providing quality service in line with nursing standards and ensuring safe patient care.

  • Lead and motivate a team of nurses to deliver high-quality, safe patient care.
  • Implement deteriorating patient pathway and patient placement policies.
  • Proactively redeploy staff based on clinical and acuity requirements.
  • Manage staff performance, promote and maintain high standards of nursing care, and ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Support operational delivery, manage professional or operational issues, and empower nurse managers to deliver high-quality, safe patient care.
  • Maintain personal professional development, stay updated with evidence-based practice, and participate in development programs.
  • Lead on KPIs and quality initiatives, report audit and KPI results monthly, and ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional leadership for nursing services, ensuring safe and effective care.
  • Contribute to planning and development of resources and services.
  • Ensure evidence-based nursing care reflecting best practices.
  • Develop relationships with other healthcare facilities, handle complaints, and conduct investigations as needed.
  • Ensure effective communication with patients, families, and staff, participate in patient rounds, and implement hourly rounding.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and hospital management to ensure efficient unit management.
  • Identify opportunities for service development and improvement, maintain readiness for critical incidents, and support resuscitation services.
  • People Management: Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, fostering a positive environment, and recognizing staff achievements and contributions.
  • Learning and Education: Facilitate professional development opportunities, collaborate on educational initiatives, and maintain records of training and education.
  • Quality Improvement and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with policies, legislation, and accreditation standards, encourage ongoing review and improvement of practices, and develop and review Standard Operating Procedures.
