Job Title: Purchased Materials Inspector

Our company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Purchased Materials Inspector to join our team. This role will involve providing day-to-day inspection expertise in the areas of component and mechatronic inspection of incoming material supporting manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide day-to-day inspection expertise in the areas of component and mechatronic inspection of incoming material supporting manufacturing.
  2. Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and lot inspection activities.
  3. Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement test, dispositioning defective products for rework, and confirming re-work.
  4. Determine acceptance or rejection of materials presented for inspection.
  5. Document inspection results by completing quality inspection reports and logs, and correctly and carefully inputting data into the quality database.
  6. Alerting and assisting the Supplier Quality Engineering department with failure and nonconforming material data recording and reporting.
  7. Be a team member of the quality department and support Production, Engineering, and other internal departments when requested to check specifications and tolerances.

Requirements:
  1. A minimum of 2 years exposure in a similar manufacturing environment.
  2. Relevant experience in Quality Control for medical devices or equivalent coupled with a minimum of 2 years exposure in a similar manufacturing environment.
  3. A minimum of a qualification in an appropriate discipline (Quality Management, Mechatronics, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering) OR appropriate and commensurate experience.
  4. Experience in being part of teams and projects with strong communications written and verbal.
  5. Ability to work in technically complex multi-discipline areas in supply chain.
