Procurement Specialist

We seek a seasoned procurement expert to spearhead our purchasing efforts, driving efficiency and growth in the kitchen, joinery, and fitted furniture industry.

This is a senior role with significant responsibility, offering the chance to make a real impact on our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and selecting suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply chains.
  • Negotiating contracts and managing supplier performance.
  • Staying abreast of industry trends to maintain competitiveness and informed decision-making.
  • Developing and maintaining accurate catalogues of material and labour costings.
  • Preparing and updating pricelists for sales and design teams, supporting business growth.
  • Designing and implementing efficient stock management systems, ensuring timely ordering and monitoring.
  • Overseeing purchasing of all required materials and supplies, based on stock levels and job requirements.
  • Reviewing supplier invoices for accuracy against agreed quotations.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvements, introducing new systems and software to enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in procurement within the kitchen, joinery, or fitted furniture industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cabinetry, materials, and components, with the ability to break down costs accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant procurement/stock control systems.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Professional, reliable, and solutions-focused.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
