Procurement Specialist

Job description for Procurement Specialist role in Dublin, Hybrid Working - 11 month contract.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing quotes, raising requisitions, verifying order status, and communicating the status of requests to various internal and external teams.

This is a high-impact, multi-business/multi-region position that requires a strong understanding of procurement processes and excellent communication skills. You will work collaboratively with Research and Development teams to support related projects involving cross-functional teams at an aggressive pace on an enterprise-wide scale.

You will also be involved in dealing with external vendors and building relationships to drive continuous improvement while supporting day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process quotes and raise requisitions
  • Verify order status and communicate request status
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external teams
  • Support Research and Development teams on related projects
  • Deal with external vendors and build relationships
Requirements:
  • College Certification level and 2 years' experience
  • Ability to communicate with Senior Stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and/or Google Suite, such as Excel
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated communication skills - both verbal and written with a strong attention to detail
  • Basic mathematical knowledge
  • Effective interpersonal skills in driving engagement and satisfaction
  • Ability to be self-driven with the capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP system
