Job Title:

A Data Visionary to Spearhead Cloud Architecture

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our cloud data platform on AWS. This is a long-term contract position with opportunities for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive roadmap for the data platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Lead hands-on engineering efforts, including coding in Python/Py Spark and designing pipelines
  • Mentor and review other engineers' work, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Ensure security ownership, particularly around AWS IAM roles and least privilege access
  • Collaborate with global colleagues and communicate designs clearly, promoting effective teamwork

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with AWS data stack, including Glue, Airflow/MWAA, Athena, Redshift, RDS, and S3
  • Strong coding skills in Python, Py Spark/Pandas, and SQL, with a focus on data processing and analytics
  • Experience with CI/CD automation using AWS Code Pipeline and Cloud Formation, ensuring seamless deployment
  • At least 5 years of architect-level experience in a senior or lead role, with a track record of delivering high-quality solutions
  • A security-first mindset, with a solid understanding of IAM roles/policies and AWS security best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with working on-site as required (2 days per week) in Dublin
  • Full right to work in Ireland
