Electrical Engineer Role Description

The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced and skilled Electrical Engineer, responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design solutions. As part of a busy team, they will contribute to the success of various projects, working closely with clients and project engineers to define project requirements and develop technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing electrical design services on commercial, retail, transport & residential developments.
  • Designing and specifying electrical engineering solutions that meet current regulations and design standards.
  • Collaborating with clients, project engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans.
  • Managing and coordinating pre-construction engineering activities, including design development, construction details, services coordination, and technical submittals.
  • Supporting the estimating, procurement, commercial, and project bid teams through expert technical guidance.
  • Providing remote technical support to construction teams on ongoing projects.

Requirements:

  • Advanced technical knowledge in all aspects of electrical engineering services & design.
  • Hold a degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience, preferably in a design consultancy environment.
  • Familiarity with current CIBSE and ASHRAE Design Guides, Building Regulations, EN and IEC Standards.
  • Experience with electrical design software such as Dialux and Amtech or equivalent.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
