We are currently seeking a skilled Audit Accountant to take on a challenging role in County Kerry.

About the Role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Audit Accountant.
  • As an Audit Accountant, you will be responsible for planning, executing and completing audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients in accordance with auditing standards.
  • You will perform substantive testing, analytical review and risk assessment procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial statements.
  • In addition, you will prepare clear and accurate working papers and audit reports to present to clients.
  • Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries is also an essential part of this role.
  • You will supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and on-the-job training to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Reviewing financial statements for compliance with relevant accounting frameworks is also a key responsibility of this position.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and value-added recommendations is also an important aspect of this role.

Requirements:

  • Qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent is required for this role.
  • A minimum of 2 years' audit experience in practice (medium practice experience is an advantage) is also necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP and relevant auditing standards is essential.
  • Proficiency in accounting and audit software (e.g., CaseWare, Sage) is also required.
