We are currently seeking a skilled Audit Accountant to take on a challenging role in County Kerry.
About the Role:
- This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Audit Accountant.
- As an Audit Accountant, you will be responsible for planning, executing and completing audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients in accordance with auditing standards.
- You will perform substantive testing, analytical review and risk assessment procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial statements.
- In addition, you will prepare clear and accurate working papers and audit reports to present to clients.
- Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries is also an essential part of this role.
- You will supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and on-the-job training to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Reviewing financial statements for compliance with relevant accounting frameworks is also a key responsibility of this position.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and value-added recommendations is also an important aspect of this role.
Requirements:
- Qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent is required for this role.
- A minimum of 2 years' audit experience in practice (medium practice experience is an advantage) is also necessary.
- Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP and relevant auditing standards is essential.
- Proficiency in accounting and audit software (e.g., CaseWare, Sage) is also required.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess a strong attention to detail.
