The NHS Gloucestershire Hospitals Foundation Trust invites applications for the role of Specialist Rotational Pharmacist Clinical Oncology.

As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care by providing clinical pharmacy services to cancer wards and outpatient clinics. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to promote safe and effective use of medicines.

This exciting opportunity enables pharmacists to develop their skills in both clinical cancer services and pharmacy aseptic units. The role involves working in a dynamic environment where you will be challenged to think critically and make informed decisions to improve patient outcomes.

The successful candidate will have previous experience providing a clinical pharmacy service in a hospital setting and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver clinical pharmacy services to cancer wards and outpatient clinics.
  • Develop and implement measures to improve cost-effective prescribing practices.
  • Participate in the weekend pharmacy service rota and on-call duties.
  • Undertake teaching and clinical supervision of junior pharmacists and other staff members.
