Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake complex psychological assessments and develop individualised treatment plans for patients with cancer who have complex medical and psychological needs.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatments and interventions to improve patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to research and evaluation projects to inform service development and improve patient care.
  • Provide supervision and training to junior staff members.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Present at case conferences and provide expert advice to medical and nursing staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Clinical Psychologist.

 

Requirements:

  • Registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and CORU.
  • Advanced degree in clinical psychology or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior clinical psychologist role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems for patient care and administration.
