Building Surveyor Role

This position involves the completion of surveys on existing housing stock, including local authority properties and similar entities.

Utilizing costing and pricing tools ensures sufficient fee generation. Conducting statutory property surveys on domestic properties is also a key responsibility.

The role requires preparing detailed and timely reports, performing on-site inspections, accurately recording and reporting survey details, and collaborating with project teams to deliver high-quality surveying services.

Preparation of clear, concise, and accurate technical reports is essential, as well as reviewing technical information to determine solutions. Liaising with internal and external project teams, as well as clients, is a critical aspect of this position.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying, Property, or a related construction discipline.
  • Chartered Building Surveyor or on the path to becoming one.
  • Full clean driving license and ability to travel to sites.
  • CAD knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in tendering.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction standards, and energy efficiency assessments (BER).
  • Self-motivated and computer literate (Word, Excel, etc.).
