Job Overview

Contract Management and Vendor Relations

As a Contract Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the management of contracts for IT categories throughout their lifecycle. This includes ensuring all parties adhere to agreed-upon terms and conditions.

You will also be responsible for managing relationships between the company and its vendors, working closely with procurement and legal teams to ensure compliance and fairness in contract negotiations.

Your expertise will be essential in identifying potential risks associated with vendor relationships, such as financial stability, data security, and compliance issues. You will work diligently to mitigate these risks and develop effective solutions to address them.

  • Manage a portfolio of vendors and lead a team of Contract Specialists.
  • Develop and implement an effective vendor management framework, including governance, controls, and contract lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with various departments within the company to ensure seamless coordination and alignment in vendor-related activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, supply chain management, finance, or law.
  • 5-8 years of prior experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of vendor management best practices, processes, and strategies.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and diplomatically.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to analyze data, vendor performance metrics, and financial information.
  • Ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
