Bookkeeping Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to perform a variety of bookkeeping tasks, including managing accounts payable processes, reconciling vendor statements, and maintaining accurate records of transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and process invoices for payment, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Utilize accounting software to resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices.
  • Reconcile accounts payable ledgers and ensure compliance with company schedules and vendor terms.
  • Maintain detailed records of accounts payable transactions using accounting software.
  • Assist with month-end closing and provide financial reports to management.
Requirements:
  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent; diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in bookkeeping or accounts payable, ideally in an Irish business environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with Irish tax regulations, including VAT and Revenue requirements.
