Senior Legal Counsel Job Description

As a senior legal counsel, you will play a critical role in managing litigation strategy and providing strategic legal advice to internal business units.

The ideal candidate will have a law degree with 7+ years of legal practice, including in-house experience, and possess litigation experience. Additionally, having internet and technology experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage pending and threatened litigation, arbitration, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with external counsel on litigation matters, including strategy setting, review of pleadings, and case budget oversight.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and risk assessments to internal business units regarding potential disputes or contentious matters.
  • Develop and maintain litigation playbooks, reporting templates, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Law degree.
  • 7+ years of legal practice, including in-house experience.
  • Litigation experience.
  • Internet and technology experience (preferred).
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset.
  • Able to work independently.
