Job Title: Automation Specialist

Job Description

This role involves the development and support of new technology, as well as existing production lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality systems requirements and be able to ensure technical and customer requirements are met.

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and executing projects, communicating project status to meet targeted timelines, managing facility expansion and modifications, and troubleshooting automation issues.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and maintaining required validation and project management documents, conducting routine project reviews, performing design work, layouts, sketches, and concepts as needed, evaluating and maintaining proper machine safeties, and ensuring automation lines are meeting their targeted output and OEE by analyzing production data.

Additionally, the Automation Specialist will provide timely notification to shift leaders and program managers of maintenance and downtime issues, interface daily with engineering manager and shift support staff, conform with all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and safety rules, and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering subject
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in medical device industry or regulated industry
  • Skills: Knowledge of quality systems, FDA Quality System Regulation, cGMP, and relevant ISO standards, background in medical devices/pharmaceuticals preferred
