A Front Office Assistant is a hospitality professional responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of the front desk, providing exceptional customer service and handling various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for guests, handling inquiries, check-ins, and check-outs in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, including registration and billing information.
- Process payments, handle cash transactions, and manage room allocations in accordance with hotel policies.
- Provide detailed information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
- Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues and management to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with hotel operations, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance and minimize errors.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role or in a related field (e.g., customer service, administration).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Basic math skills and accuracy when handling cash transactions.
