Project Engineer Opportunity

Your new organisation is a leading construction and engineering company with over 100 years of history, operating across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.

As a Senior Engineer, you will lead major construction projects, taking ownership of all engineering functions and acting as the key point of contact for technical leadership, quality assurance, and site coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive engineering strategies and on-site technical control plans
  • Provide oversight for setting out, QA, record keeping, and engineering deliverables
  • Coordinate and manage temporary works and lifting operations to ensure project success
  • Support and guide site engineers and graduates in their professional development
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality procedures, and safety protocols
  • Develop and review Inspection & Test Plans, method statements, and risk assessments to mitigate risks
  • Resolve technical queries and RFIs to maintain project momentum
  • Maintain robust documentation and drive timely close out of non-conformances

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Temporary Works Coordinator training and scaffold awareness
  • At least two years' experience in construction site engineering, preferably in a senior or supervisory role
