Job Opportunity

The Resident Medical Officer plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care at our medical facility. This position is ideal for doctors seeking to acquire significant experience and exposure to various medical specialties.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Duties:
    • Provide medical services within the scope of Departmental Policies for inpatient and outpatient settings.
    • Complete thorough clinical evaluations, explain treatment options to patients and families, and collaborate with consultants as necessary.
    • Document patient assessments, histories, and physicals on admission and maintain accurate case notes.
    • Diagnose and treat patients under consultant supervision.
    • Initiate and monitor treatment plans as clinically appropriate and safe.
    • Liaise with other clinical disciplines to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Health & Safety:
    • Maintain personal safety and that of others while performing duties.
    • Adhere to statutory regulations, local policies, and departmental health and safety rules.
  • Infection Prevention and Control:
    • Follow agreed policies and procedures to prevent infection transmission.
    • Attend annual mandatory updates and ongoing professional development to maintain knowledge and skills.
  • Information Governance:
    • Comply with Information Governance standards to protect confidential information and data.
  • Medication Management:
    • Verify and document patient medication on admission and prescribe medications as required.
  • Professional Standards and Performance Review:
    • Maintain high personal and professional standards and participate in appraisal processes.
  • Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults:
    • Identify and report abuse, attend safeguarding awareness training, and complete additional training as required.
  • Social Responsibility:
    • Support environmental sustainability and reduce waste through responsible practices.
  • Quality & Safety:
    • Contribute to Multidisciplinary teams preparing for accreditation.
    • Provide exceptional patient care throughout working hours.
  • Education & Research:
    • Participate in Departmental Educational Meetings and complete mandatory clinical and non-clinical training.
