Pensions Law Specialists are in high demand due to the complexity and uniqueness of pension schemes. We require a highly skilled individual with expertise in pensions law to join our team in Dublin.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months experience in pensions law, allowing them to advise on a full spectrum of pension matters, including trustee/employer pension schemes, administration and governance of schemes, trust deeds, accounting issues and FRS17, pensions litigation and dispute resolution, investment management, winding up and investigations, scheme transfers, mergers and reorganisations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Trustee/Employer Pension Schemes: Advising on all aspects of trustee/employer pension schemes, including establishment, maintenance and termination.
  • Administration and Governance: Overseeing the administration and governance of pension schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Trust Deeds: Drafting and reviewing trust deeds for pension schemes, ensuring they meet the requirements of the scheme members and employer.
  • Accounting Issues and FRS17: Providing advice on accounting issues related to pension schemes, including the application of FRS17.
  • Pensions Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Representing clients in pensions-related disputes and litigation, providing strategic advice and representation in court.
  • Investment Management: Advising on investment strategies for pension schemes, ensuring alignment with the scheme's objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Winding Up and Investigations: Assisting with the winding up of pension schemes, including investigations into any potential issues or irregularities.
  • Scheme Transfers, Mergers and Reorganisations: Coordinating the transfer, merger or reorganisation of pension schemes, ensuring a smooth transition for scheme members and employers.
