High-Voltage Electrical Specialist

We seek a skilled professional to join our team and contribute to the delivery of work programmes as part of our Net Zero strategy by 2040.

  • Work across all voltage levels: High Voltage (HV), Medium Voltage (MV), and Low Voltage (LV)
  • Maintain, repair, and construct HV and MV substations
  • Operate HV, MV, and LV systems safely and competently
  • Perform live equipment maintenance in accordance with Live Work Procedures
  • Participate in On Call and Standby duties
  • Carry out LV and MV metering tasks
  • Construct and maintain underground and overhead electricity networks
  • Climb poles and masts for overhead line work
  • Stay up-to-date on technical knowledge and skills to perform duties safely and effectively
  • Adhere to safety initiatives, policies, and guidelines
  • Interpret job drawings and specifications, requisition materials, and complete tasks efficiently and independently
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers, the public, and third parties
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • QQI Advanced Level 6 Electrical Trade Certificate or equivalent qualifications recognised by SOLAS (e.g., NVQ Level 4 or higher, SVQ Level 3 or higher)
  • Full clean Category B Driving Licence
  • Ability to locate and identify underground cables
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Safe Pass certification
  • Manual Handling and Basic First Aid training
  • Relevant work approvals
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
