The Produce Lead is a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations within the produce department. This position oversees daily functions, maintains product quality and freshness, and optimizes inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain optimal produce freshness through regular culling and rotation, adhering to company standards.
  • Proactively manage inventory levels, executing timely replenishment to maintain in-stock conditions.
  • Accurately price, label, and merchandise fresh produce according to company specifications.
  • Analyze sales, waste, and shrink data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with all sanitation, safety, and food handling regulations, including guidelines from ServSafe.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in produce operations, grocery retail, or food handling.
  • Strong knowledge of produce handling, quality standards, and food safety protocols.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Detailed-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Email).
