Senior Psychologist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary team based in Limerick. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team focused on delivering high-quality care to children with intellectual disabilities, with or without autism diagnoses, who may also present with mental health needs and/or behaviours of concern.

The ideal candidate will have a recognised university degree or diploma with first- or second-class honours in Psychology, along with a postgraduate professional qualification in Psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland.

  • A minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience as a professional psychologist
  • Proven knowledge, ability, and a high standard of suitability and management capacity for the role
  • Interest and experience in working with children with intellectual disabilities, autism, and associated mental health or behavioural challenges
Job Requirements

This role requires:

  • A recognised university degree or diploma with first- or second-class honours in which Psychology was the major subject and honours were obtained in that subject
  • A postgraduate professional qualification in Psychology, recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland
  • At least 5 years post-graduate experience as a professional psychologist: No more than 3 years of which may be pre-qualification experience; At least 2 years full-time post-qualification experience as a professional psychologist
