Process Improvement Technician (Manufacturing Operations)

We are seeking an experienced Process Improvement Technician to join our manufacturing operations team. As a key member of the team, you will provide technical support to ensure efficient and effective production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement process improvements in conjunction with engineering teams.
  • Provide technical support for production processes as required.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime through proactive preventative maintenance of tooling and equipment.
  • Ensure 100% availability of tools based on manufacturing schedules.
  • Work closely with planning and shift teams to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
  • Prepare work instructions according to company quality systems.
  • Provide technical input and support for customer complaint resolution.
  • Maintain high productivity and quality standards.
  • Set up and support new production equipment and tooling.
  • Develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling to improve production efficiencies.
  • Efficiently transfer prototypes and pilot products/tooling to full production status.
  • Troubleshoot issues at an appropriate level and involve senior members of staff if needed.
  • Monitor product quality and correct deviations from the norm.
  • Keep equipment in good working order through regular inspection, cleaning, servicing, and maintenance.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and reduce output variation.
  • Follow strict internal protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as well as current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Ensure compliance with all plant health and safety policies, including incident and accident reporting.
