About the Role

We are seeking a skilled financial professional to support our finance team in ensuring effective financial management. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the production and analysis of monthly management accounts.


Key Responsibilities
  • Management Reporting: Timely production and analysis of monthly management accounts is essential.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare budgets and forecasts to support strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Audit and Taxation Compliance: Provide support for annual statutory financial statements and audit documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
  • Board & Committee Reporting: Draft reports for Senior Financial Executives and Management, providing insights into financial performance.
  • Systems Development & Enhancement: Participate in the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems, ensuring they meet organizational needs.

Essential Criteria & Qualifications
  • Possess a Professional Accounting Qualification: A recognized accounting qualification or membership of a professional accounting body is required.
  • Third-Level Degree/Level 8 Qualification: A degree in business, finance, or accounting, or a relevant area, is necessary.
  • Accountancy Work Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in accountancy work, including management accounting and/or financial accounting.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to see tasks through to completion.
  • Financial Management Systems: Ability to review existing financial management systems and make changes to ensure they are effective.
  • Staff Management: Experience in managing staff is also required.
