Job Summary:

We are seeking an Environmental Specialist to join our team in a key role that will involve managing environmental compliance, ecological and aquatic surveys, environmental monitoring, and assessments for various projects.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and developing environmental management plans for sites under our management. They will also be involved in inspecting on-site construction works to ensure environmental compliance and providing environmental toolbox talks to operational staff. In addition, they will work closely with colleagues to assist with coaching, training, and reviewing implementation of environmental procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement environmental management plans for sites
  • Inspect on-site construction works to ensure environmental compliance
  • Provide environmental toolbox talks to operational staff
  • Assist with coaching, training, and reviewing implementation of environmental procedures
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement conservation and restoration projects

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 8 qualification in Environmental Science or a related discipline
  • Relevant experience in environmental legislation, environmental assessments, and ecological survey techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and comprehensive manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships
