At Medforce, we are recruiting for a Person in Charge to lead our community in a coastal town in Wexford.

This person will oversee the day-to-day management of a residential and day service, ensuring a high-quality, person-centred approach that meets HIQA standards and national disability regulations.

The successful candidate will provide leadership, line management, and strategic oversight to ensure safe and compliant services.

  • Lead and manage the community, staff, and resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Management Team and HSE to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies, reporting, assessments, and support plans to promote safeguarding and accountability.
  • Manage staffing levels, supervision, appraisals, recruitment, and training to ensure a skilled workforce.
  • Participate in the on-call system and work collaboratively with other agencies.

Requirements:

  • Level 7+ qualification in Social Care or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Management is desirable.
  • 2+ years of senior management experience in social care.
  • 5+ years of experience in the sector, including working with vulnerable groups.
  • Strong understanding of disability services, safeguarding, and HIQA regulations.
  • Experience with project delivery, risk management, and advocacy.
