Manufacturing Quality Engineer Job Description

As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet quality standards. This involves developing procedures, analyzing data, managing audits, and resolving production issues.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position with a proven track record of quality improvement. A qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required to demonstrate technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update manufacturing work instructions and procedures to optimize productivity.
  • Manage Engineering Change Notices and documentation to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Support New Product Introductions with R&D and Production teams to ensure smooth launch processes.
  • Liaise with suppliers for technical and quality issues, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Oversee sheet metal fabrication and electrical assembly operations to guarantee high-quality output.
  • Manage Bills of Material and drive cost-saving initiatives to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and external contractors to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct safety audits, attend meetings, and support 5S practices to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Lead ISO and other regulatory audits to ensure compliance and excellence.
  • Collect and analyze quality data for senior management to inform strategic decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position with a proven track record of quality improvement.
  • Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (non-FDA preferred) to demonstrate technical expertise.
  • Experience in sheet metal and electrical assembly is highly desired, showcasing hands-on knowledge.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Inventor and Excel to leverage technology for process optimization.
