Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations group, you will be responsible for managing in-coming operational issues and working with the security services team to provide post-incident remediation activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive optimization of customer environments post onboarding to establish a baseline security posture to start the customer on their security journey.
  • Work closely with customers to create a basic configuration and help educate the customer on the use of the platform.
  • Remediate missing or incorrectly configured elements of the platform to ensure the customer is deriving value from the AW platform.
  • Work closely with onboarding and concierge teams to ensure customers decrease time to value.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Intermediate technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to communicate technical ideas effectively to individuals or small teams.
  • A strong understanding of DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.
  • Experience working in a network operations center.
  • Customer-facing support experience.
  • A basic understanding of PowerShell, bash, or other scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of network routing and switching.
  • Experience with virtual environments using VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with firewalls and IDS/IPS systems.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Mac operating systems.
  • Windows and Active Directory experience.
  • Network and security auditing skills.
  • Cloud technologies including AWS and Azure.
