As a highly skilled Associate Engineer, you will be working on a diverse portfolio of projects in the UK, focusing on rail, highways, and water. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and coordinate delivery of your discipline's work to time and budget, ensuring a high standard of technical quality and compliance with internal management systems across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate delivery of work to time and budget, ensuring high technical quality and compliance with management systems.
- Produce drainage designs, assessments, and checking others' work, including preparation or checking of models, calculations, written reports, specifications, and other contract deliverables.
- Ensure design, assessments, and checking of designs are in accordance with current standards, codes of practice, and best practice.
- Supervise engineers and technicians, mentoring and developing less experienced team members.
- Develop and maintain client relationships through project work, identifying and realizing potential business opportunities.
- Achieved Chartered Engineer status with experience working on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Experience in railway design and build environment or highways drainage design, including understanding engineering interdependencies across the project life cycle.
- Evidence of leading teams and working in multi-disciplinary projects in rail, highways, or water sectors.
- Skilled analytical ability and solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, current design standards, and latest drainage design tools and software.
- Experience of undertaking or specifying drainage surveys.
- Experience of catchment analysis, hydraulic design, pumping station design, and legislative requirements.
