Key Roles and Responsibilities

As a Christmas Assistant, you will play a vital part in delivering an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that every interaction is memorable and leaves a lasting impression.

  • Greet customers with a warm smile and provide personalized advice on products and gifts to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Operate the till efficiently and effectively, balancing customer care with daily shopfloor tasks.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained at all times, keeping shelves full and available for our customers.
  • Maintain store presentation, guaranteeing every area looks its best at all times.
  • Support online order fulfillment as needed, including delivery, picking, and packing.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • You must be available to work during peak periods, including Bank Holidays, Black Friday week and weekend, Cyber Monday, Christmas Eve, St Stephen's Day, and New Year's Day.
  • Achieve excellent customer service skills, capable of approaching customers confidently and providing a tailored experience.
  • Demonstrate operational readiness, juggling customer care with daily shopfloor and operational duties.
  • Show proficiency in using new technology, such as handheld mobile devices, tills, and self-checkouts.
  • Display a team-oriented mindset, supporting colleagues to meet store goals and enjoying teamwork.
  • Possess physical stamina, being prepared to stand, walk, and lift throughout your shift.
  • Foster a strong brand ambassador spirit, showcasing enthusiasm for Boots' ethos, products, and services.
