Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team in Co. Limerick. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of our busy store.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to oversee and delegate work to others. They will also possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to motivate themselves and their team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • To assist the Store Manager in maintaining high standards of customer service and store presentation.
  • To oversee and manage daily store operations, including stock control, stock rotation, ordering, deliveries and cash handling.
  • To provide support and guidance to sales staff and ensure they are equipped to meet sales targets.
  • To participate in recruiting, training and developing sales staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, as required.

Requirements:

  • Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a retail management role, preferably in a busy retail or customer service environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines, with a strong focus on achieving sales targets and delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems and other retail software, including stock control and ordering systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 25kg and stand for long periods.
