About Your New Job:

Sigmar Recruitment's Dublin-based partner is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to support their design and construction teams. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation using industry-standard design software.

You will work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that projects meet technical, regulatory, and quality standards, leveraging your expertise in sustainable design processes and industry-standard software.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Produce accurate architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction documentation.
2. Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards, coordinating with local authorities and building inspectors to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
3. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure design solutions are technically feasible and meet client requirements, emphasizing sustainability and efficiency.
4. Prepare survey drawings and reports for project documentation, maintaining up-to-date records of design developments.
5. Ensure that all project documentation accurately reflects design developments, facilitating effective communication among team members and stakeholders.
6. Experience in preparing and submitting planning applications and tender packages is an advantage, demonstrating your expertise in project coordination and management.

What Skills You Need:

1. Degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Architectural Technologist, showcasing your expertise in sustainable design processes and industry-standard software.
3. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard design software, utilizing your technical skills to deliver high-quality designs.
4. Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and planning requirements and BCAR, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, facilitating effective collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, promoting a culture of innovation and sustainability within the organization.
