The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Product Specialist to join their sales team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in promoting their products to architects, contractors, and other construction professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from initial inquiry to closing the sale, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout.
  2. Product Promotion: Use various marketing channels like websites, social media, and trade shows to promote company products.
  3. Client Relations: Build and maintain relationships with architects, contractors, and other construction professionals to increase business opportunities.
  4. Technical Support: Provide product knowledge and technical support to both clients and the internal sales team.
  5. Order Processing & Construction Detailing: Oversee order processing, construction detailing, and assist in product development and improvement.
  6. Research & Development: Stay updated with industry trends, conduct market research, and contribute to the development of new products and solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Industry Experience: Experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction sector.
  • Technical Competence: Ability to read and interpret construction drawings for quotations and specifications.
  • CAD Skills: Experience with CAD packages is highly desirable, and familiarity with Tekla, Solidworks, or Revit would be a strong advantage.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Understanding customer needs and providing appropriate solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Sales & Relationship Building: Strong customer service skills with proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and construction professionals.
  • Marketing: Experience or willingness to use social media and other digital platforms to promote products and generate sales leads.
  • Construction Knowledge: Good knowledge of construction industry standards and building regulations.
  • Continuous Learning: Enthusiastic about researching market trends and keeping up with new product developments.
