At RPG Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join our team. As a Business Development Director, you will play a key role in identifying business opportunities, building key customer relationships, and driving revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role for a minimum of 5 years, with a degree in marketing, business or related field/qualifications. They will also have knowledge of CRM software and MS Office, as well as demonstrated ability in business-to-business (B2B) sales.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Generation: Identifying potential clients, partners, and stakeholders through networking, cold calling, and other outreach methods.
  • Revenue Growth: Effectively managing leads and scheduling demos/meetings with qualifying potential merchants, assessing all leads' potential for business collaboration converting suitable leads into viable business sales.
  • Strategic Planning: Developing strategic plans to penetrate new markets and expand existing ones, developing and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends, analysing data to understand customer needs, preferences, and competitive landscape.
  • Relationship Building: Building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, clients, partners, and industry influencers, negotiating contracts, agreements, and partnerships to drive business growth.
  • Sales Support: Collaborating with the rest of the sales teams to develop proposals, presentations, and pitches, providing support and guidance to other sales representatives to meet revenue targets.
  • Product or Service Development: Gathering feedback from clients and market trends to inform product or service enhancements, working closely with different teams to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Tracking and analysing key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of business development initiatives, preparing regular reports and presentations for management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
