Business Development Specialist Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a market leader, delivering value-driven solutions to contractors, project managers, and business owners, while developing new business and maximising existing accounts.

We're looking for a driven Business Development Representative to join our team and help us expand our presence within the industrial automation, process control, pneumatics, and electrical controls sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with channel partners, specifiers, contractors, project managers, and business owners to develop strong relationships and drive sales growth
  • Deliver engaging CPD presentations to the specifier and contractor community to build brand awareness and establish thought leadership
  • Develop and manage a strong business pipeline, from lead generation through to close, to consistently achieve (and exceed) sales targets
  • Optimise existing accounts, identifying cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to increase revenue and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in solution-based field sales (minimum 3+ years) with a background in industrial automation, process control, pneumatics, or electrical controls & automation
  • A technical qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering) with a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices
  • A proven track record of winning new business and developing long-term customer relationships with excellent presentation, communication, and organisational skills
  • A customer-focused, entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to take ownership and make informed decisions
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite with a full clean driving licence
