The Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Social Care Worker to join our team. As a key worker, you will be responsible for providing person-centred care and support to our residents, meeting their practical, physical, and emotional needs.

\

Key Responsibilities:

  • \
  • To act as a key worker for named residents where appropriate.\
  • Provide support to residents with their daily plans.\
  • Support residents in achieving their individual goals and education.\
  • Assist residents with living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and family visits.\
  • Participate in the on-floor duty team, coordinating shifts and supervising other staff members.\
  • Report to the person in charge and work collaboratively as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team in service delivery.\

Requirements:

  • \
  • Candidates must hold a qualification at Level 7 or above that meets the criteria to be registered as a Social Care Worker with CORU.\
  • Knowledge of quality assurance practices and their application to service provision.\
  • Experience working in residential, respite, or day service settings with persons with intellectual disabilities.\
  • Knowledge of Person Centred Planning.\
  • Knowledge of clinical and human resource policies and procedures, as well as relevant legislation.\
  • Knowledge of National Disability Standards (HIQA).\
