Network Security Engineer Role

Ergo is currently seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join its market-leading networks team.

This permanent position involves the design, implementation, and ongoing support of network and security services within Ergo and across its client environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering advanced technical support to external clients, ensuring timely and effective resolution of network and security issues.

  • Deliver expert-level assistance to field engineers during on-site engagements.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for all support-related incidents.
  • Collaborate with technology vendors to expedite issue resolution and maintain service continuity.
  • Utilize internal systems for accurate tracking, logging, and management of support tickets.

The role requires expertise in the installation, maintenance, and support of firewalls specifically Checkpoint and Fortinet.

Candidates must have Checkpoint CCSM or CCSM Elite certification (or be in the process of obtaining) along with comprehensive knowledge of network and security best practices.

Additional desirable qualifications include Fortinet NSE4 Certification or Fortinet Certified Professional, experience with firewall, switching, and routing technologies from Aruba, HPE, Cisco, and Juniper, strong expertise in dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, and experience with Voice over IP (VoIP) implementations and troubleshooting.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in the installation, maintenance, and support of firewalls specifically Checkpoint and Fortinet.
  • Checkpoint CCSM or CCSM Elite certification (or in the process of obtaining).
