Physiotherapy Leadership Position

The Physiotherapy Head of Discipline plays a pivotal role in providing clinical governance and supervision to physiotherapists within Adult Services and Children’s Services under the PDS model.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert clinical guidance and supervision to physiotherapists across both services
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the role and its expectations
  • Prioritize and manage caseloads to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide exceptional service outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Registration on the Physiotherapist Register maintained by CORU
  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a senior physiotherapist
  • At least 2 years experience working as a physiotherapist in disability services
  • Demonstrate strong management skills, excellent communication, and adherence to professional standards
  • Experience in disability services, preferably with both children and adults
  • Deep knowledge of evidence-based physiotherapy practices for children and adults
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Health Service Management or equivalent
  • Ongoing registration on the Physiotherapist Register at CORU
