Pediatric Palliative Care Clinical Lead

Cpl Healthcare is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist in Children's Palliative Care for a partnership-based role with a reputable healthcare organization in South Dublin. This is a full-time position requiring a highly skilled professional with a passion for pediatric palliative care.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Clinical focus: Direct and indirect patient care, with an emphasis on supporting children with life-limiting conditions.
- Family advocacy: Providing emotional support and guidance to families navigating complex healthcare situations.
- Education and training: Enhancing clinical skills through ongoing education and professional development.
- Consultation and leadership: Contributing to policy development, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical guideline creation.
- Audit and research: Participating in audit activities and contributing to research projects enhancing pediatric palliative care.
- Management: Demonstrating leadership skills, managing workload effectively, and delegating tasks as needed.
Required skills and qualifications include:
- Recognized Children's Nursing qualifications
- Full NMBI Pin number
- Full entitlement to live and work in Ireland – Stamp 4 / citizenship
- Completed post-registration level 9 qualification on the National Qualifications Framework of Ireland (major award) or the equivalent in palliative care
- Minimum of 1 year's post-registration experience and a minimum of 1 year's specialist area experience of working with children with life-limiting conditions/palliative care needs
- Good communication skills
- Ability to make high-level clinical and leadership decisions
- Highly competent IT and computer skills
- Ability to delegate
- Ability to manage own workload
- Full clean driving license
