Palliative Care Specialist for Children

We are partnering with a prominent healthcare organization in Dublin to fill the position of an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist in Children's Palliative Care. This is a full-time role that requires a skilled professional with expertise in pediatric palliative care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Focus: Provide high-quality patient care, direct and indirect, to children with life-limiting conditions.
- Child / Family Advocate: Support families through complex situations and promote their well-being.
- Education & Training/Professional Development: Enhance clinical skills and knowledge through ongoing education and training.
- Consultancy including leadership & clinical practice: Contribute to policy development, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical guideline creation.
- Audits & research: Participate in audit activities and contribute to research projects enhancing pediatric palliative care.
- Management: Demonstrate leadership skills, manage workload effectively, and delegate tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Recognised Children's Nursing qualifications
- Full NMBI Pin number
- Full entitlement to live and work in Ireland – Stamp 4 / citizenship
- Completed post-registration level 9 qualification on the National Qualifications Framework of Ireland (major award) or the equivalent in palliative care
- Minimum of 1 year's post-registration experience and a minimum of 1 year's specialist area experience of working with children with life-limiting conditions/palliative care needs
- Good communication skills
- Ability to make high-level clinical and leadership decisions
- Highly competent IT and computer skills
- Ability to delegate
- Ability to manage own workload
- Full clean driving license
