Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Principal Ecologist to join our team in Cork, Dublin, or Carlow office. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the expansion of our business by providing high-quality ecological consultancy services to our clients. With a minimum of ten years of experience, you will work closely with fellow professionals to deliver expert ecological input for a range of projects, manage individual contracts, and prepare technical reports.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage individual contracts to deliver high-quality ecological consultancy services.
  • Provide expert ecological input for a range of projects.
  • Plan, conduct, and supervise the execution of site ecological surveys and fieldwork.
  • Prepare and monitor the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans.
  • Undertake Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), Biodiversity Chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs) and other environmental reporting requirements.
  • Write technical reports and other deliverables.
  • Manage quality including attention to detail and accuracy, delivery of contracts on time and to the highest possible standards, and continuing to strive to improve the quality of work produced by the Ecology Team.
  • Provide expert witness at Oral Hearings.
