Disaster Recovery and Compliance Professional

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the continuity of operations under the Critical Entities Resilience Directive, by implementing robust risk management practices, business resilience strategies, and regulatory compliance standards.

The ideal candidate will oversee and coordinate disaster recovery planning activities, facilitate crisis management exercises, and foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to drive organisational resilience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
  • Maintain up-to-date risk management documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Support the development and maintenance of business continuity plans to ensure seamless operation during disruptions.
  • Design and conduct crisis management and business continuity exercises, including executive-level simulations to test response strategies.
  • Prioritise critical business functions and establish appropriate recovery strategies to ensure minimal disruption.
  • Ensure adherence to CER Directive requirements through regular monitoring and compliance checks.
  • Coordinate communication and collaboration among business units and with relevant external entities to achieve organisational goals.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement experience, coupled with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment, business impact analysis, and mitigation strategy development.
  • Proven ability to lead change initiatives and clearly articulate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and emergency management.
